A drug-dependent baby is born every hour
According to several reports, the number of drug-addicted newborn babies has tripled in the past decade. The report from the University of Michigan examined evidence of newborns exhibiting drug withdrawal symptoms resulting from the mothers' use of drug during their pregnancies. A number of problems were associated with the findings, including low birth weight and feeding problems. The research showed that an addicted baby was being born about every hour.
